General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) delivers comprehensive IT services to support mission-critical operations across various regions. This role is integral to the management of IT infrastructure that spans multiple operational areas.


We are seeking an IT Systems Engineer to contribute to the advancement of our Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services.

This position plays a crucial role in supporting the transition to a Zero Trust Architecture, aligning with national security strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee systems administration, operations, and maintenance of platforms within the enterprise.
- Provide Tier 3 system administration support for continuous operations.
- Deploy Operating System and software updates through management tools.
- Administer Active Directory, including user and group management, DNS, and Group Policy.
- Manage VMware environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.


- Implement security protocols in compliance with regulatory frameworks.

- Maintain system documentation and stay updated on emerging technologies.
- Develop scripts for automation and performance monitoring.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
- Create training materials for end users.
- Monitor system performance and ensure data integrity through standard solutions.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Support change management and resolve advanced technical issues.

Desired Experience:
- Proven experience in enterprise environments, managing both physical and virtual servers, operating systems, and databases.
- Familiarity with infrastructure operations, including data centers, networking, and storage solutions.
- Expertise in VMware technologies and related management tools.

Education Required:
BA/BS (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Certification(s) Required:
- DoD 8570 compliant: IAT Level II or III Baseline Certification.
- Computing Environment (CE) Certificate.
