Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering and development teams to identify manual test cases that can be prioritized for automation, enhancing the overall QE process.
  • Analyze the existing codebase (C#/.NET/C++) to devise automation hooks effectively.
  • Develop automated testing tools that standardize processes and minimize ongoing support requirements post-release.
  • Provide automation training and support to team members, fostering a collaborative environment for developing automated testing suites.
  • Design and execute test scenarios, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), while providing constructive feedback on functional documentation.
  • Influence stakeholders at all levels to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
  • Adapt quickly to changes and advocate for innovative solutions and methodologies.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to create and implement test plans and strategies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in automating manual test cases for applications developed in C#/.NET/C++.
  • Strong familiarity with both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and SQL.
  • Experience with project management tools like JIRA and test management platforms such as QTest or Quality Control.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools including Bamboo, Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, and BDD testing frameworks.
  • In-depth understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with FIX protocol and messaging platforms like MQ or Kafka.
  • Solid knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Engineering processes.
  • Strong domain expertise in Capital Markets, particularly in Derivatives such as Bonds, Options, Futures, and Swaps.
  • Experience in testing applications within the Banking and Financial Services Industry, with a solid grasp of the Trade Lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience in manual functional testing.
