The Safety Compliance Specialist at Vapor Point is responsible for providing essential administrative support related to safety and project compliance for both internal and external stakeholders. This role includes the coordination of new employee orientation, completion of Short Service requirements, and ongoing training initiatives for staff members.
Key Responsibilities· Oversee management of safety compliance platforms such as ISNetworld, PEC, and Avetta.
· Schedule and facilitate safety training sessions for customers and employees at various locations.
· Administer safety observation card management.
· Ensure timely communication with branches regarding random drug tests, follow-ups, and annual assessments.
· Maintain compliance with Safety Data Sheet protocols, including documentation and training.
· Act as a liaison to guarantee that new hires complete all necessary training from onboarding through the Short Service Employee process.
· Manage Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) within the Keep Truckin' application.
· Coordinate required drug testing, background checks, and safety training for employees prior to expiration dates.
· Organize and document safety meetings, assigning relevant topics to encourage employee engagement.
· Obtain and update Certificates of Insurance and Auto ID cards as necessary.
· Ensure branch insurance documentation is current and accurately maintained.
· Oversee Driver Qualification Files and Fleet Inspections.
· Manage Employee Safety Files and maintain OSHA 300 logs.
· Approve and code invoices related to the Safety Department.
· Assist in conducting safety field audits.
Qualifications· 3-5 years of experience in health and safety, industrial hygiene, environmental management, or a related field.
· A clean driving record is essential.
· Successful completion of pre-employment physical assessments, including drug and alcohol screenings.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with employees and contractors at all organizational levels.
