Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel RN specializing in Hematology/Oncology. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Shift Details: Variable Days, 8a-6:30p or 9a-7:30p, 10x4, totaling 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Qualifications:
- Active California RN License
- Minimum of 3 years of pediatric hematology/oncology experience, either inpatient or outpatient
- AHA BLS Certification
- AHA PALS Certification
- Experience with Central Lines and IV starts
- APHON Certification
- CPHON or CPON certification preferred
- Familiarity with Electronic Documentation preferred
The unit accommodates first-time travelers and serves an average of 60 to 80 patients daily, focusing on Blood and Marrow Transplantation.
Required Skills: Proficiency in IV therapy, sedation recovery for lumbar puncture and bone marrow aspirate procedures, administration of blood products, biologics, and chemotherapeutic agents.
Additional Information:
**RN must possess a valid California license, either active or pending with estimated posting dates.**
**Immediate availability is preferred.**
Shift/Hours: 4x10 Variable Days (Monday to Friday, with varied start times).
Time Off: Maximum of 6 days allowed. The Hematology/Oncology clinic observes holidays.
Patient Population: The unit manages a diverse range of conditions including neuroblastoma, anemia, leukemia/lymphoma, solid tumors, and brain tumors, as well as hematological disorders such as hemophilia, ITP, and sickle cell anemia.
COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement: Not required per facility guidelines.
Flu Vaccine Requirement: Unknown per facility guidelines.
Unit Type: Hematology/Oncology OP-Hospital - Acute Care Pavilion.

Estimated weekly pay is based on qualifications and experience, specifically for travel positions (50+ miles from permanent address). Estimated Weekly Rate: $2045.
