About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Machinist to join our team at Emerson in Pasadena, TX. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for fabricating Fisher OEM control valve parts using various machining techniques and equipment. You will also repair parts from the field, returning them to OEM specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set-up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Fisher parts to OEM print dimensions.
  • Develop and edit CNC programs using G-code and other programming languages.
  • Verify program accuracy and troubleshoot any programming issues.
  • Cross-train on all machines to prevent lapse in production flow.
  • Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements, and machining techniques.
  • Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per part drawings.
  • Potential for field assignments using in-line machine. Some travel may be required.
  • Adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations.

About You

We are looking for a skilled Machinist who can build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations, effectively communicate in various settings, and stay productive to align with company goals.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Machinist.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer relations skills are a must.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Mechanical related Associates degree or 5+ years of experience with machining and fabricating.
  • Working knowledge of CAD/CAM (MasterCam) & SolidWorks' modeling is preferred.
  • Welding knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in the process control industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred.
