Our company is dedicated to developing an intelligent buoy system designed to assist fishing fleets in tracking and monitoring their equipment. This innovation not only streamlines operations but also contributes to the reduction of ocean plastics caused by lost fishing gear.

We are at the forefront of integrating IoT solutions into marine environments, establishing one of the first high-resolution networks of ocean sensors in economically vital waters.

We are looking for innovative thinkers who possess a global perspective to contribute to the scaling of our commercial offerings.

In this role, you will be tasked with designing robust products tailored for the fishing sector, ensuring they endure challenging ocean conditions while maintaining optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design initiatives for new products and enhancements to existing offerings
- Support manufacturing processes, including collaboration with partners for injection molding and assembly
- Engage with vendors to ensure efficient manufacturing and design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Document operational theories, testing plans, and design modifications
- Manage release documentation through Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- Conduct mechanical testing and validation of new designs
- Perform root-cause failure analysis on both prototype and production systems
- Collaborate with the engineering team to define product requirements and integrate systems-level designs
- Maintain and improve existing product designs
- Conduct field testing to validate product performance

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Ocean Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Proven track record in product development and manufacturing
- Experience with pressure vessel design and analysis in marine settings
- Practical experience in testing and validation processes
