Thomas V. Giel Garage Doors, Inc. is a family-owned enterprise seeking a reliable individual to become part of our dedicated team. We are looking for candidates who aspire to build a LIFELONG CAREER with a reputable 3rd generation company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installations of various commercial and residential product lines on a daily basis, including garage doors, entry doors, openers, gates, retractable awnings, aluminum awnings, man doors, dock seals, and high-speed garage doors.
- Report to the office each day, then utilize a company vehicle to travel to job sites.
- Ensure the completion of installations and repairs to meet customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on new techniques and product changes to adhere to safety specifications during installations.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring job sites are free of debris.
- Manage inventory on the company vehicle and familiarize yourself with all necessary parts.
Qualifications:
- Punctuality is essential; candidates must arrive on time every day.
- General knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and construction principles is required.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory (NO EXCEPTION).
- Candidates must be comfortable with heights and capable of heavy lifting.
- Ability to use a tape measure accurately is necessary.
- Successful completion of a drug test and obtaining a PA Medical DOT certificate is required.
- Personal handheld tools are needed for job performance.
- Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, with potential weekend and overtime work as needed.
- Occasional travel out of town for job assignments or training on new products may be required.
