Objective:
The Armed Security Officer, designated under the relevant legal framework, is entrusted with the specific duty of safeguarding designated properties. This role involves executing law enforcement and security measures to ensure the safety of residents, clients, and assets. Armed Security Officers embody the civil authority of the state, focusing on maintaining order, enforcing regulations, and deterring, identifying, and investigating unlawful activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of facilities and surrounding areas, responding promptly to service requests and taking necessary actions.
- Verify the identity of individuals entering and exiting secured premises, ensuring compliance with authorized access protocols.
- Perform identification checks for visitors, documenting entry and exit times, and maintaining accurate visitor logs.
- Monitor safety systems, including fire alarms and security devices, and act swiftly in emergencies.
- Report hazardous conditions such as floods or fires to the appropriate management authorities, ensuring the safety of all occupants.
- Alert emergency services for life-threatening situations, coordinating with local law enforcement and fire departments as needed.
- Execute arrests in accordance with local laws, liaising with law enforcement for necessary support and transportation.
- Manage traffic flow, including directing vehicles and pedestrians, and overseeing parking regulations.
- Enforce local laws regarding truancy and other public safety regulations.
- Handle all keys related to secured facilities, maintaining accountability for access points.
- Keep a detailed log of all unusual activities, incidents, or any matters requiring attention.
- Before concluding each shift, ensure the security of the property and document any issues for the incoming officer.
Additional Duties: Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
