About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to support a DOD SOCOM opportunity. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring security measures to protect computer systems, networks software, and information.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of DoD-specific cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-53, and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).

Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements security measures to protect computer systems, networks software, and information.
  • Monitors, detects, mitigates, and responds to cyber incidents.
  • Implements and enforces cybersecurity policies and requirements.
  • Conducts certification and testing in accordance with the RMF and NIST policy.
  • Identifies deficiencies and vulnerabilities and provides risk mitigation recommendations.
  • Automates security and testing processes.
Requirements

Journeyman level: A Bachelor's Degree and 3 - 10 years of relevant experience.

Substitutions for education:

  • Associate's Degree plus 4 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 6 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred Skills
  • Expertise in monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM systems) and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Clearance Requirements

Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
