Job Summary

Production Line Support Inc is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by performing inspections and tests at various stages of the production process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Select products for tests at specified stages in the production process and test products for various qualities such as visual inspection, dimensions, performance, mechanical, and electrical.
  • Record test data and apply statistical quality control procedures.
  • Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
  • Prepare graphs or charts of data and enter data into a computer for analysis.
  • Maintain quality assurance gage and test equipment calibration system and database.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using hand tools, surface plates, micrometers, dial and digital calipers, gage pins, height gage, etc.
  • Inspect products under a microscope.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2 years minimum experience in the quality assurance industry
  • Computer skills related to Excel spreadsheets and graphs relative to statistical analysis
Working Conditions

This position requires sitting for long periods of time and using a microscope. The ideal candidate will have strong mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The candidate should also be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Language Skills

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write routine reports and correspondences and speak effectively before a group of customers or employees. Fluency in English is required.
