Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a LPN on our Medical Telemetry Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with a variety of medical diagnoses, including metabolic disorders, cardiovascular problems, renal patients, and respiratory conditions.
  • Administer medications, assist with procedures and examinations, and instruct patients and their families in appropriate care.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, chart results of various tests, and report changes to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with patient transfers, lifts, and positioning, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients and families.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a medical telemetry or similar setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
