Job Summary

Catholic Health System seeks a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care and leading by example.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $88,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience. The successful candidate will have 0.94 FTE (full-time equivalent) status.

Responsibilities

The Charge Nurse will be responsible for participating in the overall planning, organizing, directing, decision making, and evaluation of the delivery of nursing care on their shift. As a professional nurse, they will assist in the management of resources necessary for the provision of achievement of positive patient outcomes. Additionally, they will participate in creating and maintaining an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect among patients, families, and healthcare staff.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. They should also have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field. Certification in a specific area of nursing is preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and competence in current healthcare technology. They should also be actively involved in productivity and staffing, as well as act as a leader in healthcare technology innovations.
