Job Opportunity

Gosnold, a nationally recognized non-profit leader in mental health and substance use disorders, seeks a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join its team. Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnose procedures, and provide treatment consistent with professional standards. This role requires evaluating and documenting medical problems, reporting them to the supervising physician, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain patient records, including nurse's notes, medication records, and other essential documentation.
  • Prescribe psychotropic medication according to established guidelines.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and proper disposal procedures for sharps.
  • Participate in treatment planning sessions, clinical case reviews, and in-service training programs.
  • Comply with the professional staff code of ethics.
  • Attend clinical supervision sessions with a supervising psychiatrist as required.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A board-approved master's or post-master's nurse practitioner program or equivalent.
  • Experience conducting evaluations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments specific to their area of expertise.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health and ability to provide treatment consistent with professional care standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with patients.
  • Computer literacy and ability to work within an electronic medical record system.
