Solventum is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and implementing improvements related to safety, quality, customer service, and cost (productivity).
The Impact You'll Make in this Role- Leads and implements improvements related to safety, quality, customer service, and cost (productivity).
- Drives cost and productivity through Lean Six Sigma projects utilizing a technical approach, standard work, and kaizen events.
- Develops and implements cross-functional projects, plans, programs in support of the business strategic plans, new process start-ups, new technology integration, aggressive cost reduction and supply chain improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools.
- Proactively communicates project direction and status to appropriate personnel.
- Engagement and involvement in daily operations, supports/participates in Lean Management system, and provides direction/support of maintenance and capital improvement projects.
- Drives understanding of key customer needs and monitors process capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
- Three (3) years working within a manufacturing and/or process engineering environment.
- One (1) year of experience with DMAIC and Business Excellence.
- Three (3) years working with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skills.
- Self-starter/self-directed that leads with high energy and passion.
- Proven track record of continuous process improvement.
- Effective facilitation, communication, and teaching skills.
- Ability to engage and influence the organization.
- Ability to multi-task and handle large workloads under time constraints.
This role may include up to 10% domestic/international travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized.
