About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Outreach Driver to join our team at Detroit Recovery Project. As a key member of our Prevention Team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the Mobile Outreach Unit's 12-passenger van to various locations, providing professional interactions and support to participants and service providers.
  • Assist with Harm Reduction supply distribution and rapid HIV/HCV testing.
  • Ensure the vehicle is driven in a safe manner to transport clients seeking shelter services.
  • Maintain accurate mileage and maintenance logs for the vehicle.
  • Assist with set up and clean-up of the Mobile Outreach Unit.
Requirements
  • Michigan State HIV Tester Certification
  • Valid/Current Chauffeur's License and satisfactory driving record
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented
  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task
