Job Overview

The New York Institute of Technology is seeking part-time/per diem Assessment Supervisors to facilitate the logistics of examinations and oversee students during their computer-based assessments. This role involves setting up the examination environment, managing student check-ins, monitoring the assessment process, and assisting with any related logistics. Selected individuals will receive comprehensive training for these responsibilities and will work under the guidance of NYIT personnel.



Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Assessment Supervisor include:

  • Preparing the examination room and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
  • Checking in students and verifying their identification.
  • Monitoring students throughout the assessment to ensure compliance with examination protocols.
  • Addressing any issues that may arise during the examination process.


Qualifications

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Prior experience as an Assessment Supervisor or in educational roles such as K-12 or college teaching.
  • An Associate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills are essential.
