At EnerSys, we are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and production processes.



Job Summary

The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials and finished goods in a safe and efficient manner. This includes operating a forklift, performing routine maintenance, and supplying necessary materials to production workers.



Key Responsibilities


  • Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
  • Supply necessary materials to production workers
  • Remove empty racks and pallets from workstations and load and unload trucks
  • Store and book in raw materials


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to obtain a forklift operator certification, and have the ability to perform data entry. Additionally, you will need to be able to read, understand, and follow operation instructions.



Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hazardous material handling and a forklift license are preferred. You will also need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis and stand for long periods of time.



Work Environment

This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead and fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company and employee to reduce the risk of exposure and ensure everyone's safety.
