As a Clinical Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to residents within your designated area. Under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Services, you will be accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive care tailored to meet the physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications with precision and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with nursing practice standards and Duncaster policies.
  • Deliver treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established protocols.
  • Ensure residents' physical comfort and safety within their environment.
  • Implement infection control measures and adhere to safety protocols regarding hazardous materials.
  • Safeguard residents' rights, privacy, and dignity at all times.
  • Execute physician orders promptly and accurately.
  • Develop, implement, and review care plans and MDS regularly.
  • Conduct thorough admission and discharge processes.
  • Coordinate care among staff to effectively meet residents' needs.
  • Engage in professional development and organizational activities.
  • Utilize the electronic medical records system proficiently.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
  • Extensive knowledge of geriatric nursing practices.
  • Strong understanding of nursing principles and physical assessment techniques.
  • Familiarity with supervisory principles and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
  • ANA Certificate in Geriatric Nursing is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • At least two years of full-time clinical nursing experience is required.

Work Schedule

Flexible scheduling options available, including:

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Compensation

Per Diem Rate: $40.00 per hour plus shift differentials.

Flex Rate: $45.00 per hour (requires three years of skilled nursing experience) plus shift differentials.
