Job Summary

Wood plc is seeking a highly skilled Field Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our oil and gas field operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and planning major overhauls of compressor packages to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Performing routine maintenance and support on reciprocating and screw compressors, as well as VRU's and gas lift equipment.
  • Coordinating and overseeing major repairs and overhauls on pumps, compressors, and engines to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment associated with gas liquefaction and production facilities.
  • Working directly with vendors to resolve rotating equipment and parts issues.
  • Collaborating with engineers to resolve compressor issues and optimize equipment performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of formal or industry experience in oil and gas field maintenance is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of screw and reciprocating compressors is essential.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and take direction from experienced facility personnel.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in extreme outdoor temperatures and communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Basic computer skills for planning, scheduling, record keeping, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong planning, technical, and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering zero-incident HSE results.
