Class A City Driver Position

PITT OHIO, a leading transportation solutions provider, is seeking a Class A City Driver to join our team at our Hermitage, PA Terminal. As a Class A City Driver, you will be responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle, picking up and delivering general freight, and ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
Responsibilities:
• Drive a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to federal regulations and company policies.
• Load and unload trailers, either individually or with assistance from dockworkers, using mechanical freight handling equipment when available.
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight, securing it as needed through strapping or other methods.
• Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions, complying with all federal requirements regarding the transportation of Hazardous Materials.
• Maintain accurate records, including drivers' logs and other required documentation, to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements:
• A minimum age of 23 years old.
• Two years of verifiable driving experience (approximately 100,000 miles) or a minimum of one year of verifiable driving experience and a diploma from an accredited driving school approved by PITT OHIO.
• Pass a PITT OHIO driving test administered by an approved PITT OHIO Trainer.
• Possess or obtain within 90 days a Haz-Mat and Tanker endorsement on their current valid driver's license issued by the resident state in which they reside.
• Provide information on all previously held licenses within the past 36-month period.
• No record of a driver's license suspension or revocation for more than 30 days, covering the 36-month period prior to the order date of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and consent to a pre-employment drug screen, with a negative result required by PITT OHIO.
• Must have the ability to read and write the English language and perform simple mathematical calculations.
