Sargent & Lundy is seeking a highly skilled Transmission Line Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for designing transmission lines in the 69kV to 500kV range.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Develop design criteria, routing, and siting of transmission lines
  • Conduct conductor selection studies, shielding, grounding, and induction studies
  • Collaborate with vendors and clients to specify transmission line components
  • Lead small project teams

**Key Qualifications:**

  • Degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
  • Proficiency with PLS-CADD software
  • 5+ years of experience in transmission line design, including code requirements, cost estimates, and schedule creation
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, drawings, and models
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
