The Education Resource Specialist, RN is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for assessing, planning, developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating educational needs for the target population.
Responsibilities
- Develops curriculum for identified learning needs and facilitates individual learning plans.
- Promotes a team approach to healthcare delivery and facilitates effective patient education at the service level.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of patient education and ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Develops and maintains new employee orientation programs and acts as a clinical resource for staff.
- Communicates effectively with all levels of the healthcare team and promotes individual professional growth and development.
- Serves as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff and demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community.
Requirements
- At least five (5) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Current State of Texas license/permit to practice professional nursing.
- Completion of Basic Life Support and other certification based upon specific nursing unit requirements.
