We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to support our K-12 special education students in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area.

As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will work closely with licensed teachers to provide academic adaptations, self-care, and social/behavioral support to students in their classroom. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children with special needs and contribute to their development.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed staff in the classroom
  • Aid students in meeting their individualized education plan (IEP)
  • Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
  • Work with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presented
  • Provide support for students in crisis
  • Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student's learning experiences and support them as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and must complete ParaEducator Assessment during onboarding process (provided by Zen Educate) or, 60 college credits or higher
  • 1-year experience working with children in a classroom setting
  • Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
  • US Work Authorization - Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.
