Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Billing Representative to join our team. As a Billing Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring all accounts are set up correctly in our computer system, using your knowledge of A/R software and understanding of eligibility requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact insurance carriers and patients regarding outstanding insurance claims to obtain proper payment.
  • Understand contract reimbursement rates for individual carriers/networks.
  • Responsible for a book of unpaid claims that appear in work queues assigned to each Billing Rep.
  • May be assigned special projects or other assignments and work tasks that are generally within the scope and level of the position.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ years of experience in medical insurance billing.
  • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 4:00pm.
  • Medical Billing/Terminology knowledge.
  • Excellent telephone skills.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and coding systems.
  • Ability to understand payer's procedures and policies as they pertain to payment of claims.
