Surgical Technologist

As a Surgical Technologist at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in assisting surgeons during various surgical procedures. This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons with surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, supplies, and resources according to individualized plans of care.
- Anticipate and respond to patient and surgeon needs, demonstrating critical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge and skills in surgical procedures, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
- Associate's degree or clinical certification in surgical technology.
- Three years of experience in a surgical setting.
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Certified First Assistant (CFA) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification from the American Board of Surgical Assistants or the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
