Job Description

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at TRI-MED Family Care, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients across a range of ages and backgrounds. Your duties will include conducting thorough assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, prescribing and managing medications, and coordinating care with other healthcare providers.

You will also be expected to maintain accurate and detailed medical records, communicate effectively with patients and their families, and participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with best practices in psychiatric nursing.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on psychiatric/mental health, and must be certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH) as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP). You will also need to have a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in Georgia, as well as a state-issued Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) in Georgia.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on psychiatric/mental health
  • Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH) as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)
  • Valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in Georgia
  • State-issued Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) in Georgia
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in direct client care to people receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders
  • Ability to work with both adult and youth/child populations
