Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Engagement: Collaborate with established suppliers to innovate and apply new technologies in polymer development.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Engage with various teams to facilitate the creation of new product lines.
  • Product Development Pipeline: Ensure a steady flow of innovative products and materials, aligning with market trends and business objectives.
  • Production Scaling: Transition laboratory findings to full-scale production, overseeing test trials, documenting methodologies, and evaluating outcomes.
  • Research Initiatives: Propose and initiate new research projects that align with the strategic vision of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualifications: Master's degree in Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science; a Ph.D. is highly desirable.
  • Professional Experience: At least 5 years in the plastics manufacturing sector, particularly in R&D roles.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Demonstrated experience with extrusion processes.
  • Familiarity with materials such as LLDPE, LDPE, HDPE, PET, mPE, EVA, PP, PHA, PLA, or comparable types.
  • Understanding of additives including UV stabilizers, plasticizers, processing aids, antioxidants, and colorants.
  • Competence in materials analysis and testing methodologies.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong capability to manage extensive datasets and extract meaningful insights.
  • Problem-Solving Aptitude: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and flexibility in adopting new approaches.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively mentor and guide a team.
