Electrophysiology Technician Job Summary

Brookwood Baptist Medical Center is seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. As an Electrophysiology Technician, you will assist physicians in the Electrophysiology laboratory during intra-cardiac EP studies and pacemaker implants, including collection and interpretation of data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate various equipment needed to monitor blood pressure, oxygen level, electrocardiograms, pressure in chambers and vessels in the heart.
  • Prepare patients for electrophysiology studies and pacemaker follow-up in clinic.
  • Adhere to hospital and department policies, procedures, and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist or Cardiovascular Technician program.
  • 1 year of cardiology experience.
  • BLS certification.
