Patient Access Director

**Job Summary:**
The Patient Access Director will oversee outpatient and ED registration as the facility transitions to a critical access hospital. This role involves managing 15 direct reports and ensuring efficient patient access operations. Experience with critical access hospitals and upcoming systems transitions is highly desirable.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Team Management:** Supervise patient access representatives directly, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
- **Operational Oversight:** Manage outpatient and emergency department registration processes. Implement and refine protocols to enhance efficiency.
- **Insurance Coordination:** Oversee insurance verification and resolve any related issues in coordination with the finance team.
- **Compliance:** Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- **Patient Experience:** Address and resolve patient concerns, aiming to improve overall satisfaction.
- **Data Management:** Analyze access data to identify trends and drive process improvements.
- **Collaboration:** Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams for seamless patient care.
**Qualifications:**
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field; Master's preferred.
- **Experience:** 3-5 years in patient access management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Critical access hospital experience is a plus.
- **Skills:** Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with healthcare management systems (MediTech, CPSI TruBridge experience preferred).
