About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Dewberry. As a key member of our Mechanical Engineering group, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and leadership on energy engineering and decarbonization projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance on mechanical systems and clean energy technologies
  • Develop and implement growth strategies for decarbonization and electrification services
  • Collaborate with clients to understand energy and carbon goals, design concepts, and project economics
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials and strategies to promote our services
  • Supervise and mentor mechanical discipline managers and staff
  • Ensure compliance with corporate quality management processes and procedures
  • Lead the development of office mechanical standards and coordinate with the Chief Engineer
  • Provide technical training and development of staff on energy planning, modeling, and life cycle cost analysis
Requirements
  • Accomplished mechanical engineer/PE with 20+ years of progressive technical experience
  • Experience in technical oversight of multiple projects with proven success in meeting contract specifications and achieving high performance and advanced energy design standards
  • Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
