**Job Summary**

We are looking for a skilled Physician II to join our team in the Eastern Region. This role involves providing medical supervision and guidance to medical practitioners, ensuring high-quality patient care and adhering to established medical policies and procedures.

**Estimated Salary:** $125,000 - $155,000 per year, based on experience.

About the Job:

  • Provide medical supervision and guidance to medical practitioners in the Eastern Region.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Assist the Chief Medical Officer in responding to litigation and other matters related to inmate care.
  • Perform assessments, develop medical guidelines, and review policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with facility staff, departmental leaders, and other stakeholders to coordinate medical services and initiatives.
  • Assist in on-call coverage and direct patient care as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead medical teams in the Eastern Region, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to medical policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to respond to litigation and other matters related to inmate care.

Requirements:

  • Current Virginia medical license.
  • Board certification or eligibility in primary care or related field.
  • Experience supervising/managing medical providers in a medical setting.
  • Extensive experience as a practicing physician.
  • Experience in correctional medicine.
