Medical Laboratory Technician

As a Medical Laboratory Technician at IDEXX Laboratories, you will play a vital role in supporting veterinarians in diagnosing and treating pets. You will be part of a fast-paced work environment that emphasizes teamwork, quality, and opportunities for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform laboratory testing using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic tools to diagnose animal illnesses, injuries, and diseases.
- Conduct diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or pet biopsy samples received in the lab.
- Set up and run lab tests, read and release results according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Specialize in Immunology/Serology: Test blood and other samples for the presence of viral and bacterial diseases by detecting antibodies (AB) or antigens (AG).
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. A 2-, 3-, or 4-year degree in a Science-related field is preferred.
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT) is a plus.
- Ability to set up, run, and read lab tests, and operate laboratory equipment (microscopes, pipetting, and/or clinical diagnostic analyzers).
- Positive attitude, love for teamwork, and ability to work reliably and precisely.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of working in a lab, including standing and sitting for extended periods, phone and computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50lb, and specific vision ability.
- Hourly rates targeting $25.88/hour.
