We are seeking a Lead Certified Nursing Assistant for Cherrywood Advanced Living.

Available Position:

  • Full-Time Day Shift - 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead CNA is responsible for a range of professional duties in the care of home care clients, adhering to state regulations and following the established policies and procedures of the agency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with the RN/LPN to assess clients' needs and monitor changes in their condition, conducting focused evaluations as necessary and reporting findings to the RN.
  • Implements client care plans developed by the RN and consults with the RN regarding client conditions and treatments.
  • Administers medications and treatments in accordance with Cherrywood policies and procedures.
  • Assists the RN in orienting, training, and mentoring new staff members professionally.
  • Performs delegated tasks and additional duties as assigned by the RN.
  • Supports clients with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper techniques and equipment to prevent injury.
  • Assists clients with the use of splints, braces, and ostomy appliances.
  • Facilitates client transfers using appropriate methods and equipment.
  • Guides clients in exercises and mobility programs with adaptive tools.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of PCA experience.
  • Must be registered and licensed in the State of Minnesota.
  • Familiarity with state requirements for Assisted Living with Dementia Care License.
  • Ability to conduct focused nursing assessments as per the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Current Minnesota Driver's License is required.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary; willingness to learn Point Click Care software is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, time management, organizational skills, sound judgment, and reliability.
