Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Nurse

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a skilled Intensive Care Unit Nurse for a local contract nursing job in Kansas City, Missouri.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICU nursing and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU setting
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs and respond to changes in their condition
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and new technologies
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in ICU nursing
  • ACLS and BLS certification
  • NIH certification
  • Experience with trauma patient management, IV administration of vasoactive medications, ventilator management, chest tube management, care of post-op neurosurgical patients, cardiac rhythm identification & management, hemodynamic monitoring, care of stroke patient
  • Advanced skills in ICP monitoring/EVD management and strong neurological assessment skills
