Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care on our 50-bed Mental Health Recovery Adult unit. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering compassionate and individualized care to patients with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Assess patients' physical and mental health needs, and develop appropriate plans of care
- Collaborate with Psychiatrists, Therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure understanding and engagement in care
- Administer medication and other treatments as prescribed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
- A valid Registered Nurse license in the state of employment
- American Health Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification
- Formal training in management of aggressive patients
- Previous psychiatric experience, preferably with children, adolescents, and adults
