Overview:
Paladin, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to enhance our operational capabilities. This role is pivotal in fostering a cohesive environment that merges development and operations into a singular, efficient platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the transition of systems that are intricately linked to the underlying infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, ensuring optimal performance and scalability across cloud computing environments.
  • Utilize industry best practices to enhance scalability, consistency, and infrastructure efficiency while minimizing deployment time and automating configuration management.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to create and implement innovative development and mission solutions.
  • Incorporate security and compliance measures into the platform, including encryption and access management.
  • Provide operational support for the platform, ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Demonstrate administrative proficiency with systems such as Red Hat Linux (v7+, 8+ preferred) and Rancher.
  • Resolve issues related to applications and infrastructure services on Linux-based operating systems.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Possession of an active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI / CI Poly security clearance is mandatory prior to the start date.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with automation frameworks including Chef, Puppet, and Ansible.
  • Experience in the installation, configuration, and integration of COTS/FOSS products.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Rancher.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with deploying, configuring, and supporting CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, GitLab).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based web services, particularly AWS.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, including OWASP, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and architectures.
  • Experience with scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Fortify, Anchore).
  • Multi-disciplinary infrastructure experience encompassing compute, networks, storage, and virtualization.
  • Experience in developing, testing, and delivering applications within a DevSecOps framework.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Bash, Perl, Ruby, C++).
  • Current DoD 8570 certification (CompTIA Security +, CCNA) or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
