Role Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to discuss their financial circumstances, personal goals, and lending requirements to assist them in achieving their home ownership aspirations.
  • Gather and assess information regarding the client's financial status, objectives, risk tolerance, future plans, income, assets, liabilities, cash flow, and credit history.
  • Evaluate financial data to make preliminary determinations about the client's eligibility for specific lending solutions.
  • Provide tailored recommendations to clients regarding the lending options that best align with their financial and personal goals.
  • Inform clients about the implications, risks, and advantages of various lending alternatives.
  • Promote Citi's brand and its financial services to real estate professionals, builders, and other referral sources.
  • Conduct client meetings outside of the office, adjusting visits based on clientele, market conditions, and other relevant factors.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to enhance customer support and growth.
  • Direct clients seeking financial services beyond lending to the appropriate Citi professionals.
  • Coordinate with Operations teams to ensure a smooth transition of loan applications, providing necessary documentation to Processors and obtaining additional information as required.
  • Work alongside Processors and clients to ensure timely loan closings.
  • Engage with key referral partners (Realtors, CPAs, Builders, etc.) to drive mortgage business.
  • Introduce clients to relevant segment partners when suitable.
  • Stay informed about local market trends and regulatory changes to better serve clients and industry professionals.
  • Assess risks in business decisions, prioritizing the firm's reputation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in the mortgage industry.
  • A minimum of 3 years of prior mortgage sales experience is required.
  • Experience in residential mortgage lending is essential.
  • Established client base is preferred.
  • Demonstrated capability in product sales is necessary.
  • FHA/VA and conventional loan experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret and explain financial calculations and pricing options.
  • Effective communication skills regarding documentation and information needed for loan applications.
  • Knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations, including fair lending and privacy standards.
  • Proven customer service abilities.
  • Strong skills in relationship development and management.
  • Expertise in general lending products and the mortgage industry.
  • Registration as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry is required prior to engaging in mortgage loan activities.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
