Golf Course Groundskeeper Professional

We are seeking a skilled Golf Course Groundskeeper Professional to join our team at the City of Burnet, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the city's golf course and facilities, ensuring they are safe and aesthetically pleasing for users.
Key Responsibilities:- Turf Maintenance: Perform routine tasks such as mowing, weed eating, edging, seeding, fertilizing, aerating, and applying pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides to maintain the health and appearance of the golf course turf.
- Hardscape Maintenance: Plant trees, shrubs, and flowers, prune trees, dispose of large branches, and perform other landscaping tasks to maintain the overall appearance of the golf course and surrounding areas.
- Equipment Operation: Operate various types of heavy equipment, including tractors, mowers, blowers, hand tools, sprayers, sod cutters, chain saws, trenchers, and cement mixers, to perform tasks efficiently and safely.
- Facility Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance of sprinkler systems, repair and installation of sprinkler lines and heads, and perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and painting work as needed.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; landscape or golf course maintenance experience is preferred but not necessary.
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Texas driver's license with a driving record meeting policy standards.
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings and background checks.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and after-hours (scheduled and non-scheduled) as required.
