Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Driver I to join our team at Lowe's. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of merchandise to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute delivery activities, including printing loading tickets and verifying merchandise against invoices.
  • Utilize hand-held device technology to capture signatures for all deliveries and ensure accurate tracking of shipments.
  • Match items on invoices with quantities loaded, verifying descriptions, items, and model numbers to ensure accuracy.
  • Support warehouse operations as needed, including pulling, checking, stocking, and other tasks.
  • Verify daily vehicle inspections and reports, ensuring cleanliness, maintenance, and repairs for delivery vehicles and equipment.
  • Escalate customer complaints, dissatisfaction, and procedure violations to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Partner with sales teams and other departments to ensure efficient and coordinated customer service.
  • Adhere to all safety and compliance guidelines, including policy and procedure for the operation of company vehicles and warehouse equipment.
Requirements
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
  • 2 years of experience with box truck driving, with a Gross Vehicle Weight ranging from 14,500 lbs. to 26,000 lbs.
  • Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.
  • Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment.
Preferences
  • 3 months of experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment.
  • 6 months of experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service.
