The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of psychological services to individuals and groups, focusing on specialized assessments and tailored interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough interviews to gather and document personal data and relevant information.
- Perform psychological evaluations, including the selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological assessments, while diagnosing various psychological conditions.
- Design, implement, monitor, and update treatment plans and interventions, which may encompass behavioral support and skills training.
- Facilitate and/or oversee individual, group, and family therapy sessions, alongside providing psychoeducational, vocational, and discharge planning services.
- Assess clients' eligibility for services and offer clinical insights to eligibility review teams.
- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
- May conduct and supervise forensic or court-mandated psychological evaluations and provide expert testimony as required.
- Offer clinical leadership and program management, ensuring effective prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological disorders.
- Provide supervision and administrative guidance to staff, interns, and students, including the assignment of treatment activities and performance evaluations.
- Engage in the development, implementation, and assessment of clinical evaluations and programming.
- Coordinate psychological services and review individual records to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team, working alongside other healthcare professionals to meet treatment goals and ensure continuity of care.
- Represent the psychology discipline in various committees and working groups.
- Develop and deliver training programs, offering consultation to clinical staff, agencies, families, and the community.
- Screen and interview candidates for internship and externship opportunities, coordinating program activities and providing supervision and educational components for psychology interns.
- Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and standards for psychological services.
Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of a valid license and current registration to practice psychology in New York State.
