Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the procurement and distribution of drug orders, identifying and filling replacement medications, and preparing sterile products accurately.

Responsibilities:

Procure and distribute drug orders accurately
Identify and fill replacement medications on emergency crash carts, OR carts, and floor stock accurately
Prepare sterile products (including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition) accurately
Deliver medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately
Rotate stock to ensure use before expiration date
Pick up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds
Enter charges and credits for patient medications accurately
Identify and replace outdated and unusable drugs

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Six months pharmacy technician experience preferably in a hospital setting
Possess current pharmacy technician license in the State of New Mexico
National Pharmacy Technician certification preferred
Successful completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course preferred
