Telecommunications/Low Voltage Technician, Manhattan, KS Area

Torgeson Electric Company is seeking a skilled Telecom Technician to work on telecom and server room construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience with CAT 6 cables, fiber optics, and low voltage systems. Leadership and electrical experience are a plus but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, test, and certify CAT 6 cables.
- Build out and configure telecom and server rooms.
- Perform fiber optic cabling and heavy data cabling tasks.
- Conduct thorough testing and certification of installed systems.
- Maintain a high level of craftsmanship in all work.
- Work with low voltage systems, including door access control.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure project timelines are met.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience.
- Hands-on experience with CAT 6 cables, fiber optics, and heavy data cabling.
- Proven ability to build and configure telecom/server rooms.
- Proficiency in testing and certifying telecom installations.
- Strong attention to craftsmanship and quality.
- Certifications are preferred but not required.
- Basic electrical experience preferred but not required.
- Experience working with low voltage systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
