Staff Nurse - Emergency Services
JOB SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers comprehensive nursing care to patients, adhering to the Maryland Nurse Practice Act and established Standards of Practice. This role involves the development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of patient care plans based on the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs of patients and their families. The RN will assess patients for any changes that may affect their recovery process.
COLLABORATION:
The RN collaborates with healthcare team members, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to ensure high-quality care delivery. Maintaining clinical expertise and competency is essential to facilitate patient care in line with current practice standards, while also ensuring a safe environment for patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure with the Maryland Board of Nursing or a Compact State, if applicable.
- Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Emergency Services or 3-5 years in other acute care settings.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- PALS and Hazmat certifications to be completed within one year of hire.
- Certification in Emergency Nursing is preferred.
- Completion of orientation as per organizational policies and procedures.
