About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Machine Learning Scientist to join our expanding Engineering team. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing cutting-edge machine learning models, with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP), Multi-modal Large Language Models (LLMs), and enhancing our products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop, and Deploy NLP and LLM Models: You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying NLP and LLM models to solve real-world problems in the home security domain.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: You'll work closely with key stakeholders to identify critical research initiatives that can drive business outcomes.
  • Integrate NLP/LLM Capabilities: You'll collaborate with engineers and product managers to integrate NLP/LLM capabilities into our existing systems.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: You'll stay current with the latest advancements in NLP/LLM and related fields.
  • Contribute to Infrastructure Development: You'll contribute to the development of our machine learning infrastructure and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: You'll hold an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Leveraging LLMs: You'll have 1+ years of experience in developing or fine-tuning and deploying LLM models such as Llama or similar.
  • NLP Model Experience: You'll have 1+ years of experience in developing and deploying NLP models such as GPT, BERT or VLM models such as CLIP, DINO.
  • Production-Grade Solutions: You'll have 3+ years of experience in developing production-grade machine learning solutions.
  • Transformer Models: You'll have a strong understanding of transformer models, deep learning architectures, and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Training Techniques: You'll have a strong understanding of training techniques for foundational LLM and VLM models.
  • Programming Skills: You'll be skilled in Python and relevant machine learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch TensorFlow, Keras etc.).
  • Data Preprocessing: You'll have experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
  • Excellent Communication: You'll possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: You'll be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Speech Recognition Experience: You'll have experience with speech recognition, natural language understanding, or natural language generation.
  • Publications: You'll have publications in posters, conference proceedings, journal articles, workshops, etc.
  • Cloud Computing: You'll have familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
  • Open-Source Contributions: You'll have contributions to open-source NLP/LLM projects.
