Physical Therapist

Job Summary:
As a skilled Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from injuries or diseases, restoring function, improving mobility, relieving pain, and preventing permanent physical disabilities.
You will provide comprehensive physical therapy care to patients through the proper utilization of evaluation, planning, education, and implementation of a treatment plan in accordance with Physical Therapy Standards of Practice.
Responsibilities include indirect patient care activities such as documentation, scheduling, family training, attendance at rounds, interaction with the Interdisciplinary Team, participation in staff meetings, ordering supplies, and contributing to continuous quality control and performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs patient assessment/data collection, interprets findings, and formulates treatment plans.
- Implements and updates therapeutic plan of care and treatment based on patient needs throughout patient's course of care.
- Completes all required documentation, in an accurate and thorough manner, of Physical Therapy treatment in accordance with FHS documentation standard.
Cultural Sensitivity and Competence:
Demonstrates proper use of communication tools/materials for effective communication and understands how the culture(s) of patient populations can affect communication, collaboration, and the provision of care, treatment, and services.
Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program and completion of Clinical Fieldwork. Knowledge and experience in rehabilitation, orthopedic, medical/surgical settings that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities preferred.
Current Washington State license for Physical Therapy or a Washington State Interim Permit (valid for a maximum 6 months unless an extension is approved by the Department Director). Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
