About the Position

The LSU AgCenter is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Extension Agent to join our team. As an Extension Agent, you will play a critical role in delivering research-based information and education to the people of Louisiana.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement educational programs to address the needs of Louisiana's agricultural industry
  • Collaborate with LSU AgCenter faculty and staff to conduct research and extension activities
  • Provide technical assistance and support to farmers, ranchers, and other stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, policymakers, and community organizations

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as agriculture, horticulture, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in extension or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
