Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team at The H&K Group, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a professional with a strong background in civil engineering and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering projects, including highways, subdivisions, and land development.
  • Prepare thorough site analysis to determine allowable density and layout constraints based on municipal land use ordinances and site-specific features.
  • Develop horizontal and vertical alignment of street layout and profiles, as well as detailed grading plans.
  • Design stormwater management systems, water supply and sewage facilities, and erosion and sedimentation control plans.
  • Manage sub-consultants and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
  • Travel to project sites, meetings, and conferences to communicate project design aspects and provide technical expertise.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of stormwater, erosion, and sediment control, as well as water and sewer design principles.
  • Ability to interpret and apply municipal land use ordinances.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
