Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Central Counties Center for Mental. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing advanced habilitation or therapeutic rehabilitation work to clients within our program area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate rehabilitation activities for clients within a program area and develop protocols for an assigned program in habilitation or rehabilitation therapy services.
  • Assign and/or supervise the work of others, working under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
  • Interact effectively with all customers, internally as well as externally, and demonstrate high ethical standards, trustworthiness, and personal integrity.
  • Regular attendance, dependability, and promptness are essential for the successful execution of the position's duties and responsibilities.
  • Screening, Evaluation/Assessment and Treatment planning: Work as a strong and vital part of a transdisciplinary team to provide essential, in-depth diagnostic input on the development of referred children 0-3 years.
  • Deliver a minimum of 75-80 hours of direct services each month, ensuring that services begin within 28 days of the initial IFSP 100% of the time.
  • Document all efforts to overcome barriers to services beginning on time and ensure that all chart documentation is turned in on a weekly basis by the established deadline 100% of the time.
  • Participate in the Random Moment Time Study and the associated training as required, and successfully complete professional training to maintain competency and meet continuing education requirements.
  • Supervise and train students, interns, and other therapists as appropriate, and provide support in the form of translation and interpretation to other team members serving children and families with diverse language needs.
Requirements
  • Experience in therapeutic techniques in the appropriate area, with a degree in the appropriate therapy area and certification and/or licensure in the appropriate area of therapy.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic techniques in the appropriate area, ability to communicate effectively, and ability to see, hear, and talk effectively within job requirements.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods, implement administrative procedures, interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and train others.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and productively with supervisor, individuals, co-workers, and groups of persons at all levels of activity, contributing to a strong spirit of teamwork.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and regular attendance and reliability is critical to business operations.
