Job Title: Advanced Life Support Technician

Estimated Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year

New Windsor Volunteer Ambulance Corps is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Life Support Technician to join our team. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for providing advanced medical care and transportation for critically injured or ill patients in a pre-hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations. You will be expected to administer medications as per established protocols and medical direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications as per established protocols and medical direction.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, determining the nature and extent of illness or injury.
  • Perform medical procedures such as intravenous access, endotracheal intubation, and cardiac monitoring.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paramedicine or related field preferred.
  • Certification:
    • Current New York State Paramedic Certification.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a paramedic in an emergency medical services setting preferred.
