Your role involves advancing ahead of your unit to conduct reconnaissance and relay crucial information back to your commanding officer. This on-site intelligence is essential for informed decision-making during operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Secure and prepare ammunition for scout vehicles.
  • Operate both individual and crew-served weaponry.

Training for the Cavalry Scout position includes Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, which are combined into a comprehensive 16-week One Station Unit Training program. This training primarily occurs in the field, supplemented by classroom instruction. Continuous training is a hallmark of the Cavalry Scout role, as you will regularly engage in squad maneuvers, target practice, and war games to keep your skills sharp and maintain readiness.
